PeopleSoft Functional

hi all,
I am new to PeopleSoft. I wanna understand the functional side of PeopleSoft. Can anyone please explain about the functional modules? I need help related to the following thing?
1) Why functional side is very important in PeopleSoft?
2) what are all the functional modules in PeopleSoft?
3) How these modules are related to each other? etc...
I need info in the basic level... :)
Any help from anyone will be appreciated.

Hi,
Am new for this field and i like to apply for t he post peoplesoft financial consultant or peoplesoft test eng.. but i do not have exp in this field how ever i have working in experience in peoplesoft for Accounts payable and receivable and general ledger is that posible to get a job using this working knowledge.
Please advice how can i apply this kind of job or where we can learn the peoplesoft functional consultant course.
