Issue with homepage tab

Hi I have a cref pointing to a iscript within a custom tab created in the Homepage tab ( Root >Portal Objects >Homepage >Tabs > )
When I click the tab, p/s immediately signs me off. However, it is working fine when I click 'Test Content ref link" on the cref from within Root >Portal Objects >Homepage >Tabs .

The cref has the following settings:
Usage type: Target
URL type: Peoplesoft Script
I have provided the Iscript parameters ( including record, field name, peoplecode event name and peoplecode function name )
I have the necessary permissions on the iscript as well as on the cref set up.
Is there some other configuration that I am missing ? It is all the more confusing as I am the test content reference link is working fine.

I have cleaered cache with no success.
