TO CALL CI THROUGH PEOPLECODE

Any1 help finding out how to call CI through Peoplecode.
My requirement is that i have two componet C1 and C2....
some field from page P1 of C1 are there on the page P2 of C2.
So i need to call CI2 when i made any changes in my P1 OF C1.....
any article ,code,hint will be helpful

U can call a CI through people code in any peoplecode event i.e. field change, save prechange etc..
Sample code for CI is generated, if u drap and drop the CI in people code editor of required event.

when i drag ci to peoplecode...its only coming the code for some log files.
can u please give some examples and snapshots that how to run ci through peoplecode.
and one more thing i want to load data from excel file to peoplesoft through ci.....after creating the ci...only through Excel To Ci.xcl we can load the data to peoplesoft...
But i want to RUN that CI from front end to load the data from my excel file....is it possible...Please give some example and snapshots..
